LIFE, OH LIFE

With the Easter holidays looming upon us, what can we expect to fill the three weeks of holidays?
Before you start booking those holidays remember that assignments are pending, a sure way to fail is to neglect these assignments or dedicate the bare minimum to a project.
We are given three weeks holidays (two for Easter and one for reading week) in that time we should be able to have a good time and still manage to get our work done.
Depending on the amount of work I'd say that the first week and a half would be enough, this is complete dedication to your work from morning to night from Monday to Sunday. Tough but it needs to be done.
There are many facilities available to us to help with our work you have the Academic Skills Center (ASC). Your academic advisor and seminar teacher after all they are there to help you, this can help ease the hefty work load.
I'm already dreading my assignments. I have a presentation to prepare that consists of two A3 posters, audio la la la la la la, I don't really want to talk about it that’s not to say that I am going to bury my head in the sand and pretend that it doesn't exist 'cause that would just be stupid.
I also have a take home exam which consists of 2x 1,000 essay questions and writing definitions for a list of words + a reading log.
I also have a political report to write which is 1,500 and much more. I don't want to bore you with any more details its enough to make you feel depressed, I know that I am.

So you’re probably thinking, what is she talking about? What is this week’s blog going to be about?
Is about prioritising your work? Dealing with depression?
Well if you thought any of the above you’d be partly WRONG, the main focus is about enjoying life.
How did she get from an intro like that to the subject of enjoying life? I knows that's what you’re wondering well, I’m about to enlighten you.
We often get caught up in the day to day of life we forget to live. I am not telling you to neglect your work, God forbid but at the same time you have to strike a healthy balance, you know what they say about all work and no play.

Words of wisdom, take heed

“The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell when the hands will stop.
At late or early hour now is the only time you own, live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in tomorrow for the clock may then be still.”

This poem says it all. I want to walk out university with an amazing grade 1st class preferable to justify all the money spent on me, but at the same time I want to have fond memories about the whole uni experience, not just getting the work done on time.

In the short time I have been at university I already have some great memories from great night outs or those talks that touch your soul, even the moments of complete shame/horror manage to bring a smile upon my face I would tell you about the story but i'm too ashamed.

Life is about experiences because it’s our experiences that we can pass on to people to enrich them or stop them making the same mistakes that we have.

At times life can seem like a long dark tunnel but there will always be a light at the end of it, like there will always be a silver lining in the clouds

YOUR MISSION IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT IS

To make every moment count, take a moment to look at the world we live in, despite what we hear on the news the world is filled beauty.
The number of breaths that we take does not measure life, it's the moments that take our breath away!

I promise next post I’ll get of the insane trip I’ve been on the last two posts and talk about something really serious issues so drop us a line with your thoughts, I might steal I mean use one of your ideas if they are really good

I’ll leave you with poem as a final thought

Living Life to the Fullest

If you treasure the beauty that shows all around you
And try to add some of your own,
Enjoy the companionship
Others can give you,
Yet value your moments alone…

If you honor opinions
That differ from yours,
Yet stand up for what you believe,
Admire the accomplishments
Others have made,
And take pride in what you can achieve…

If you love those around you
And love yourself, too,
If your spirit is eager and free…
Then you know what it means
To live life to the fullest
And be the best "you" you can be.

Until next time
Be Safe and remember TRUTH is right not a privilege
